Columbus Crew SC teased a major signing on Monday in a tweet, but unveiled their prime capture in Obetz today. Pedro Santos has signed a deal with the team and becomes the third Designated Player on the roster.
Santos, 29, arrives after a reported $2.3 million dollar transfer fee with Portuguese club SC Braga. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Santos has played mainly on the right wing during his career. He’s seen as gifted on the ball and is able to create his own shot or set up a teammate. It’s a scouting report that sounds similar to Justin Meram.
