Columbus Crew SC is now in last place

After Wednesday’s MLS action, a Crew SC tie and Chicago Fire win, Columbus fell to 20th in MLS. No matter how it's sliced, live standings or points per game, the rest of the league is above the Black & Gold.

If there is a small measure for optimism, it's that the team is still within striking distance of a playoff spot, though there are three other teams ahead of Crew SC.

I'll have a few thoughts later this week how lag year’s MLS Cup runner up and holder of the league’' she fourth best record have fallen so far, but for now sour times in Central Ohio indeed.
