Former striker Brian McBride cut his teeth on the pitch for Columbus Crew SC. Whether scoring goals at Ohio Stadium or Columbus Crew Stadium, the striker holds a special place in the hearts of many Crew SC fans.
During his eight-ydar career, McBride scored 67 goals and registered 47 assists in 172 appearances with the Black & Gold.
Before retirement in 2010, McBride played for Fullham in the English Premier Leauge and then came back to MLS to join his hometown Chicago Fire.
The Illinois native, always a member of the Crew at heart, earned the right to be the first inductee into the Circle of Honor for his achievements while playing for the Black & Gold.
