The ongoing saga continues.
Since Columbus Crew SC owner Anthony Precourt announced he was going to look into moving the club to Austin, Texas last fall, it’s been a back and forth of “parallel paths” and questions about why thing aren’t working in Columbus.
After multiple potential stadium sites in Austin have fallen through for various reasons, Crew SC fans gained hope the Black & Gold would remain in Columbus. That hope took another step on Monday when USL Austin was greenlit for the 2019 season, the same season Precourt would like to begin MLS play in the city.
