Vladislav Gavrikov signs a three year contract extension

The Columbus Blue Jackets settled one major piece of off-season business on Thursday by signing defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov to a new three year contract. The annual cap hit on the deal is $2.8 million:

#CBJ have signed restricted free agent defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov to a three-year contract with a salary cap hit of $2.8M.

He’ll make $1.65M in 2020-21, $2.55M in 2021-22 and $4.2M in 2022-23.

That leaves center Pierre-Luc Dubois (RFA) as CBJ only unsigned player.— Aaron Portzline (@Aportzline) November 5, 2020

Gavrikov became a fixture of the shutdown second pairing in his rookie season, along with partner David Savard.
