Sergei Bobrovsky named to Russia's roster for 2016 World Cup of Hockey


COLUMBUS, OHIO -- Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky is among the first 16 players selected to represent Russia at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey, the Russian Ice Hockey Federation announced today. The international tournament will be held from September 17 to October 1, 2016 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Bobrovsky, 27, has helped Russia capture medals at the 2014 (gold) and 2015 IIHF World Championships (silver) as well as the 2008 IIHF World Junior Championships (bronze). He has also represented the country at the 2014 Olympic Games held in Sochi, Russia.
