Sergei Bobrovsky Named Finalist for Hart Memorial Trophy

With the selection, Sergei Bobrovsky becomes the first Columbus Blue Jackets player to be named a finalist for the award in team history. Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid and Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby are the other two finalists.

Bobrovsky is also a finalist for the Vezina Trophy, an award for the league’s best goaltender. He has already won a Vezina in his career, snagging the hardware after the 2012-2013 season. In that lockout-shortened year, he finished 21-11-6 with a 93.2% save percentage, 2.00 goals against average, and four shutouts.

This season’s stats have been somewhat similar, finishing the season with superb numbers.
