On the heels of a disappointing weekend, the Columbus Blue Jackets traveled to take on the New Jersey Devils in what was almost a must win game against a struggling team.
Here’s what happened.
FIRST PERIOD
Cam Atkinson scored 52 seconds into the game to give the CBJ a 1-0 lead as he set a career high in goals with his 36th of the season.
The Jackets only registered four shots on goal but led 1-0 on the scoreboard.
SECOND PERIOD
The Devils, who dominated play after the Columbus goal and carried the run of play as Travis Zajac equalized on an odd man rush.
