Curtis McElhinney to undergo knee surgery, will miss remainder of 2015-16 season


COLUMBUS, OHIO – Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Curtis McElhinney will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his knee on Monday and will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2015-16 season, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. The surgery will be performed by Dr. Larry Watson at Orthopedic One in Columbus.

McElhinney, 32, was injured during practice on Friday. He has appeared in 18 games this season, posting a 2-7-3 record, 3.31 goals-against average and .890 save percentage. Last season, he went 12-14-2 with a 2.88 goals-against average and .
