The Columbus Blue Jackets are second in the Metropolitan division currently with 57 points. They are on pace for 95 points and a could have home ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs.
Despite that success there is a dark cloud that hangs over this team. There is a pessimistic outlook regarding the Jackets that many can not shake.
They lose to teams they shouldn’t lose to, they are squeaking out victories in overtime and shootouts when they do win and they are entirely unimpressive and boring for long stretches of play.
But there is a ton of reasons to be optimistic going into the second half of the season.
