The Columbus Blue Jackets announced the re-signing of left wing Markus Hännikäinen to a one-year deal on Monday, keeping him a Blue Jacket through the 2019-20 season.
Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports the deal is worth $735,000 $750,000.
Hännikäinen had a quiet year that wasn’t helped by a January injury. The 26-year-old notched four goals and three assists in 44 regular season games and one playoff games, all career-highs. He mostly played the role of 13th forward, jelling primarily with the rotating cast of Brandon Dubinsky, Riley Nash and the departed Lukas Sedlak.
