Columbus Blue Jackets: New Defensive Pairings a Welcome Change

The Columbus Blue Jackets played their best game of the season on Tuesday at home against the Dallas Stars. The 4-1 win was exactly what the team needed after a so-so California Road trip.

The Dallas victory is a perfect example of how this Columbus Blue Jackets team needs to play in order to win. Solid scoring chances evenly spread throughout the game but a dominate defense and solid play from Sergei Bobrovsky.

The defense was excellent on Tuesday and it came with a surprise pair mix up. Coach John Tortorella finally split the team’s top defenseman, Seth Jones and Zach Werenski, and it paid dividends.
