The Columbus Blue Jackets are coming off a shootout win against the Boston Bruins. This was an ugly contest, but the Jackets were able to claim 2 points which are all that matters. The CBJ started off faster than before, but they dropped off late in the game and were saved by their shootout skill.
Columbus has had a ridiculous struggle on the power play that has continued and is a complete head-scratcher with the amount of talent on the power play. The power play has taken the energy out of the whole team.
The Florida Panthers are an obvious trap game on the Blue Jackets schedule with the red-hot Tampa Bay Lightning being next on the schedule, but if the Jackets look ahead they will be headed into Tampa empty-handed.
