COLUMBUS, OH – The Columbus Blue Jackets announced today that over 16,000 people skated at Columbus Blue Jackets Winter Park presented by Worthington Industries during the recently completed run at McFerson Commons. From Friday, January 22 through Sunday, February 21, approximately 11,200 people participated in public skating sessions at the outdoor rink that served as the centerpiece of the park.
In addition to the public skating, hockey programming attracted approximately 1,500 people of all ages. The rink hosted youth hockey association practices, a youth hockey tournament, adult drop-in hockey, high school practices, as well as adult and youth clinics.
