COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed center Pierre-Luc Dubois to a three-year entry level contract, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. Dubois was the third overall selection in the first round of the 2016 NHL Draft held last Friday at First Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York.
Dubois, 18, posted 42 goals and 57 assists for 99 points with 112 penalty minutes and a +40 plus/minus rating in 62 regular season games with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in 2015-16. He ranked third in the league in points, fifth in goals and sixth in assists and plus/minus while leading the club in assists, points and plus/minus.
