Blue Jackets get thumped in Detroit

A young lineup headed to Detroit to take on the Red Wings in the team’s fourth preseason game. What was supposed to be a game where guys like Roslovic and Texier could prove themselves, turned into a game we’d rather forget. Let’s take a look at what happened.

1st Period

The Detroit Red Wings dominated the game early and the Blue Jackets found themselves chasing the puck and being pinned in their own zone. The Red Wings struck early when Taro Hirose deflected the puck in front of the net. Jack Roslovic was there, but ended up screening Elvis and allowing the Detroit player to linger in front of the net.
