Blue Jackets extend qualifying offers to four restricted free agents

COLUMBUS, Ohio –

The deadline to extend a qualifying offer to restricted free agents (RFA) is 5 p.m. ET on the first Monday following the NHL Draft, which happens to be today. Here is the list of Blue Jackets who received qualifying offers by today’s deadline:

Scott Harrington

A qualifying offer is given to pending RFAs in order for the club to retain their negotiating rights, and the value of the qualifying offer depends on the player's salary in the preceding season.

Players making less than $660,000 in the previous League year receive a qualifying offer equal to 110 percent of last season’s salary.
