2021 Player Review: Boone Jenner

“There’s no one on this team that plays harder than him,” former head coach John Tortorella said after the game on Tuesday, April 7 when it became apparent that a broken finger would sideline Boone Jenner for the remainder of the Jackets’ season.

Jenner suffered the season-ending injury after being hit in the hand with a shot by teammate Patrik Laine in a game against Tampa Bay Lightning.

Prior to his injury, Jenner led the team in face-off win percentage (55%) and was averaging 18:00 time on ice per game this past season, which is a significant increase over his 16:36 career average - he was also third on the team in blocked shots.
