Though he slipped in the final Central Scouting rankings, Julien Gauthier remains an elite power forward option for a team picking in the top half of the first round. The only undrafted player for Team Canada at the World Juniors, Gauthier scored better than a point-per-game in the QMJHL this past season, showing a willingness to play physical.
He's the kind of player that can make room for his linemates on the ice, and can be relied on to provide responsible defensive play. He'll be a big part of both the Foreurs and Team Canada again next season, both literally and figuratively.
