Turnovers cost Colorado State basketball in loss to Florida State

Points in the paint and turnovers, two areas that are supposed to be strengths under coach Larry Eustachy, were instead weaknesses for his Colorado State Rams.

As a result, CSU's upset bid of Florida State came up well short Sunday afternoon in a 90-73 loss in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

The Rams (2-2) competed much better than they did two days ago when they lost to Tulane by 27. They overcame a 12-point first-half deficit thanks to some hot perimeter shooting by Lorenzo Jenkins and even took the lead briefly in the second half.

But an 11-0 FSU (3-0) run midway through the second half reestablished control for the Seminoles, who outscored the Rams 44-24 in the paint and scored 23 points off 22 CSU turnovers.
