The ongoing saga of that has become the Colorado State men's basketball team took another turn Saturday morning when athletic director Joe Parker placed Steve Barnes on administrative leave until the end of Parker's investigation.
Barnes has served as the team's interim head coach for the past week since Larry Eustachy was put on administrative leave. Second-year assistant coach Jase Herl will coach Saturday's game against San Jose State.
The university did not give a reason for the decision; however, players did meet with Parker on Friday to discuss the investigation, and that's when Parker informed them that Barnes would be stepping away, according to a team source.
