Prentiss Nixon becomes latest Colorado State basketball player to leave program

FORT COLLINS — Colorado State junior guard Prentiss Nixon has become the latest player to leave the men's basketball program, announcing via social media Friday he will transfer and seek opportunities elsewhere.

Prentiss posted on his Twitter account he had made "a business decision" after discussing it with his parents, AAU and high school coaches, saying in part: "With that being said I will be transferring from Colorado State University and pursuing other opportunities for my senior year. No matter what I'll always be a ram at heart & I hope there are no hard feelings."

Nixon appeared in 27 games, leading the team in scoring at 16.
