ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — By noting he was the 21st full-time head coach in Colorado State football history, Mike Bobo was pointing to what he feels is part of the reason the program historically has been searching for success instead of sustaining the standard.

"I've talked about since I've became the head coach at Colorado State wanting to go somewhere and build a championship contender," he said at Friday's press conference on the eve of the New Mexico Bowl (2:20 p.m.; ESPN). I think you do that with consistency. I think Colorado State over the years has had moments of success.
