Michael Gallup puts CSU football on his back to beat Nevada

His nose wrinkles at the notion and he leans in to clarify.

“It wasn't as good a game as I can have,” Michael Gallup says, “but that was a pretty good game.”

You'll have to forgive the question. By mortal standards, it was reasonable. Colorado State's wide receiver had just produced a career performance on homecoming Saturday night at CSU Stadium, numbers that hardly seemed possible in a single game from a lone person.

But Gallup isn't mortal. At least for a night, he wasn't.

“He just really had a good look in his eye during warm-ups,” CSU coach Mike Bobo said as the evening turned into the next morning.
