A dismal first quarter on Saturday afternoon proved too costly for Colorado State women's basketball in a 60-49 loss to Wyoming. The loss brings CSU to 8-14 on the season, 2-9 in Mountain West action
The Cowgirls held a 16-4 advantage after one period, in tune with some of the Rams' offensive struggles this season. Despite CSU's ability to improve point totals throughout the second half, the Cowgirls matched the output, eventually outscoring the hosts in three of the four quarters.
Liah Davis was the biggest standout in the loss. The redshirt sophomore scored a career-high 21 points, besting her previous mark of 11.
