Fresno State volleyball drops CSU from the ranks of unbeatens in MW

FRESNO, Calif. — The Mountain West is down to two undefeated volleyball teams in conference play, and Colorado State is not one of them.

Fresno State used consecutive blocks to put away the Rams in the fourth set of a 25-17, 21-25, 25-18, 26-24 loss at Fresno State. The Bulldogs improve to 3-0 in the MW, 11-5 overall. The Rams dropped to 3-1, 11-5 with the loss.

The Bulldogs out-blocked the Rams 13-5 in the match, leading to the Rams hitting just .170 as a team, with the Rams contributing 14 unforced hitting errors. Breana Runnels led the team with 18 kills, with middles Kirstie Hillyer (12) and Paulina Hougaard-Jensen (10) reaching double figures.
