The shooting of Mollie Mounsey was not enough for Colorado State to end a losing skid in the Mountain West, falling 70-58 Saturday afternoon at Dreamstyle Arena.
Mounsey led all scorers with 18 points, hitting 5 of 9 from the field, including 4 of 7 behind the arc. Lore Devos added 10 points, but the Rams also had 17 turnovers in the game as they fell to 7-8 overall, 1-3 in conference play.
Colorado State has lost three straight in the MW after opening with a win over UNLV.
CSU was in the game despite poor shooting to end the first (just 1 its final 13 in the stanza), and New Mexico (13-2, 2-1) was able to build up a lead in the first few minutes of the second quarter.
