CSU women overwhelmed by No. 17 Arizona State

FORT COLLINS — The advanced billing on Arizona State proved to be rather accurate.

The No. 17 Sun Devils stormed out of the gates and shot well all game, rolling to a 70-39 victory at Moby Arena on Sunday afternoon. ASU jumped out to a 24-12 lead after one quarter and never looked back, shooting 48 percent overall, 41 percent from behind the arc. Courtney Ekmark led the way, scoring 21 points, hitting six of her 10 3-point attempts.

Lena Svanholm and Mollie Mounsey scored 11 points each to lead the Rams. Colorado State fell to 4-4 with the loss, as the Sun Devils improved to 7-2.
