PULLMAN, Wash. — A hot start wasn't enough, as Colorado State's volleyball season came to an end in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in a five-set loss to Tennessee at Bohler Athletic Complex at Washington State University.
The Rams won the first two sets before eventually falling 26-28, 20-25, 25-18, 25-21, 15-12. CSU ends the season with a 24-7 mark.
The Rams and Volunteers (26-5) were tied at 11 in the final set when Tennessee went on a 3-0 run. CSU hit better in the match (.227-.203), but hit just .062 in the final set.
