CSU football's punting disparity troubling

Michael Brian / Loveland Reporter-Herald)

FORT COLLINS — There is an obvious disconnect.

On one end of the spectrum is Ryan Stonehouse. Colorado State's sophomore punter sits second in the nation with his 50.4 average yards per attempt. On the other side sits the Rams' net punting average, found at 108th in the nation at 34.6.

That's too wide of a gap for anybody, where in it one finds the fact the Rams are allowing 22.4 yards per return, which sits 128th nationally. They have allowed three punt returns for touchdowns, tied with Boston College for the most this year.
