ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — What Joe Parker had seen on the field had impressed him, and conversations about extending the contract of Colorado State coach Mike Bobo began around midseason.
Yet it was the person Bobo is as much as the coach that drove the Rams' athletic director to get an extension agreed upon to secure some stability for the program moving forward.
"I've never seen anything from Mike that would create any pause or hesitation that he is a person of outstanding character," Parker said from the lobby of the Albuquerque Marriott, the team hotel for the New Mexico Bowl.
