FORT COLLINS — Michael Gallup is almost ready to join some rather hallowed ground at Colorado State.
Monday, the senior wide receiver landed on the Football Writers Association of American All-America team, the second selection for the Monroe, Ga., product out of the five official teams recognized by the NCAA. He missed a chance earlier in the day to become a consensus All-American when he was a second-team choice by the Associated Press.
The Sporting News announce its team Tuesday, followed by the American Football Coaches Association on Wednesday, the day the Rams head to Albuquerque for the New Mexico Bowl.
