CSU football signs graduate transfer QB Carta-Samuels

FORT COLLINS — Colorado State's wait to fill a quarterback need didn't take long as coach Mike Bobo announced they have signed graduate transfer K.J. Carta-Samuels out of the University of Washington.

It was reported in January he was set to sign with UCLA, having also taken looks at Colorado State and Iowa State. The Rams were able to sign him now because Washington operates on the quarters system.

Carta-Samuels will have one year of eligibility remaining.

He doesn't have a ton of experience, having hit 27 of 47 career passes for 310 yards and three scores while he was a Husky, playing behind the 2016 Pac-12 offensive player of the year Jake Browning.
