ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Colorado State and New Mexico Bowls. Whadda know?

By the end of the third quarter, the Rams trailed Marshall 31-14 in the 12th edition of the game, having looked out of sorts on both sides of the ball those first 45 minutes.

The defense was getting shredded by big plays, allowing scoring runs of 68 and 90 yards and a scoring pass that covered 76. Marshall had six explosive plays of 20 yards or more in the game.

Offensively, there were dropped passes, and Nick Stevens and Michael Gallup could not find a rhythm on deep passes, Stevens throwing either long or short.
