CSU football beats San Jose State in season finale

Andy Cross / The Denver Post)

FORT COLLINS — Just as scripted.

Colorado State's offense marched in unison Saturday, as it was supposed to against a San Jose State defense ranked as one of the worst in the country. The Rams' defense rebounded against a Spartans offense depending on youth that has struggled to move the ball and the seniors were able to exit their home field victorious with a 42-14 win at Lubick Field at CSU Stadium on Saturday.

It wasn't the perfect ending to the regular season Colorado State once dreamed of, but it was perfect for at least the one day.
