Colorado State is set to add depth to its defensive line as Arizona State graduate transfer Jalen Bates announced on Twitter he is joining the football program.
Bates graduated in December with a degree in sociology. He will have one year of eligibility remaining and is expected to sign is letter of intent this week.
Bates redshirted with the Sun Devils in 2015, then played the next two seasons. After playing five combined games in 2016-17, he broke out last season with 31 tackles in 13 games (including 10 starts), with six tackles for loss and a sack.
