CSU defense needs a test

FORT COLLINS — The defensive players on Colorado State's football team are confident.

Let them have their say. They've put in the work to learn the systems of new defensive coordinator John Jancek and his retooled coaching staff. They did it in the spring, during the summer months when no one was looking and starting all over again in fall camp. That much they deserve.

"I'm extremely confident with the defense," said lineman Richard King. "We've been pounding the scheme all camp, starting all the way back to the spring. I'm getting comfortable with the scheme, and I know what the coaches want from me, so right now it's just executing, working hard every day, come to practice with the right mindset to keep pushing.
