CSU basketball suffers worst loss in nine years

FORT COLLINS — Colorado State basketball is doing its best to find a sense of normalcy as athletic director Joe Parker's ongoing climate assessment continues to hang over the program like a dark cloud.

Try as they might, the Rams' 87-54 loss to visiting Boise State on Wednesday night was anything but normal. The 33-point defeat, in front of a sparse crowd of just 2,850 at Moby Arena, marked CSU's worst loss since a 34-point margin at BYU in 2009.

The Rams, who were playing their fifth game with head coach Larry Eustachy on paid administrative leave, have now dropped 9 of 10 to fall to 11-18 overall and 4-12 in the Mountain West.
