Colorado State's Kivon Cartwright completes long road back

FORT COLLINS — As players, they are thrilled to have him back.

How could Colorado State's football team look at it any other way, when first-year football coach Mike Bobo remembers back to thinking on first glance at Kivon Cartwright, "he looks the part."

The 6-foot-4, 245-pounder from Pueblo South certainly does as a tight end. And Bobo was also just as correct in assessing he's a talented kid, as 57 career catches for 857 yards and nine touchdowns would attest. That and a host of all-conference honors, pre- and postseason, as well as his regular listing on the John Mackey Award watch list.
