Colorado State senior guard Hannah Tvrdy was named the Mountain West women's basketball player of the week on Monday. Tvrdy earned the honor after leading the Rams to wins over San Diego State and New Mexico, averaging 22.0 points and 9.5 rebounds in the two victories.
Tvrdy began the week by scoring a career-high 28 points on 12-of-18 shooting against the Aztecs on Wednesday, then followed it up by making a go-ahead 3-pointer in the final minute of overtime to help beat the Lobos on Saturday.
This is the first such honor for Tvrdy and the second for CSU this season after Annie Brady was recognized in late December.
