Colorado State women's basketball too careless in loss to Colorado

FORT COLLINS — Doesn't matter the sport, turnovers will cost you.

The Colorado State women's basketball team tried its best to overcome its ball-security issues Wednesday night against Colorado, but the Rams' season-high 20 turnovers were simply too much to overcome in a 70-67 loss to the visiting Buffaloes at Moby Arena.

"We created most of their offense for them. That's really disappointing," CSU coach Ryun Williams said. "It came down to that."

CSU didn't match up particularly well with its in-state rivals in terms of size and speed. But the Rams compensated by going 9 of 17 from the 3-point line and limiting CU without a field goal the final 8:44 to nearly erase an 11-point deficit with 3 minutes to play.
