TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Taking on a ranked team on the road, Colorado State's volleyball team was given an outside chance of taking down No. 15 Florida State in the Rams' finale of the Home2Suites Classic at Tulley Gymnasium.
They took it — over and over again — as Colorado State rode the wave of outside hitters Breana Runnels and Jasmine Hanna to sweep FSU 25-21, 25-23, 25-15 to improve to 4-1 on the year and go undefeated in the tournament.
Runnels, a redshirt freshman, had the best match of her young career, hitting .483 as she posted 15 kills on 29 swings.
