FORT COLLINS — Just about everything surrounding the night was stretched out.
Colorado State opened its volleyball season Friday in front of a boisterous and big Moby Arena crowd (4,589), with the student section very much testing out their vocal capabilities. The match with Duke provided plenty of opportunity to do so, with three of the five sets needing more points than usual, each bench showing some fire and fight.
The two coaches also tested out their benches, too. Colorado State did so through injury, as Sanja Cizmic picked up an ankle injury early, her third since the offseason began, limiting her to less than two sets played.
