Colorado State's 10-match winning streak came to an end, but the loss at home to Colorado didn't knock the Rams out of the polls.
They slipped just one spot, down to No. 22, while the Buffs made their first appearance at No. 25.
At 10-2 on the season, Colorado State begins Mountain West play this week with a pair of matches at Moby Arena. The Rams host New Mexico on Thursday (7 p.m.), then UNLV on Saturday (1 p.m.).
Colorado State came out of the non-conference slate with the best mark in the conference, with San Jose State at 8-3.
