Colorado State volleyball slides one spot in poll despite two victories

Colorado State's volleyball team swept a pair of conference matches at home to begin Mountain West play, but it didn't help the Rams in the polls.

It hurt, actually.

CSU slipped one spot to No. 24, mainly because previously unranked Michigan State made its first appearance in the AVCA poll, jumping all the way to No. 16.

The Rams (12-2 overall, 2-0 MW) will play their next four matches on the road, including trips to Wyoming on Tuesday and Air Force on Saturday. The team will remain on the road the following week with matches at Boise State and Utah State.
