FORT COLLINS — A perfect 4-0 week, capped by a sweep of then No. 15 Florida State on the road to win the Home2Suites Invitational led to a host of good news for Colorado State's volleyball team on Monday.

First, middle blocker Kirstie Hillyer was named the Mountain West defensive player of the week, and about an hour later the Rams found they had returned to the AVCA poll, coming in at No. 25.

Hillyer had 20 blocks in the four victories, averaging 1.54 per set. She also had 35 kills while hitting .528, but she missed the final two sets of the FSU win after injuring her left knee after coming down awkwardly on a block attempt on the first point of the second set.
