FORT COLLINS — Paulina Hougaard-Jensen had a point.

Colorado State had not looked especially sharp in its morning match, which the No. 25 Rams won in four sets over Ball State.

No. 16 Michigan was in the stands, watching.

"I think we kinda freaked them out a little bit," Hougaard-Jensen said. "They looked at us and like, 'well, they're not that good,' then ..."

For effect, the CSU sophomore middle blocker made a "popping" sound. And giggled.

Pop indeed.

For the second time in six days, Colorado State swept a ranked opponent and looked great doing it, with a final tally of 25-21, 25-22, 25-18 on Friday night in front of the sixth-largest crowd in Moby Arena history, 5,899, 60 of which were alumni of the program.
