FORT COLLINS — Saturday, Colorado State did its part in earning a share. About 30 minutes later, Utah State made it official.
With a 27-25, 25-13, 25-22 sweep of Boise State on Saturday at Moby Arena — coupled with the Aggies' win in four over Wyoming — the No. 20 Rams are back atop the Mountain West as champions and headed back to the NCAA Tournament for the 23rd consecutive season.
Since the Mountain West was formed in 1999, the Rams have won 14 conference championships. While it is one of the earliest the Rams have clinched, coach Tom Hilbert isn't worried the focus will stray.
