FORT COLLINS — A dud.

After a promising first quarter, that's all Colorado State had to offer a sellout crowd of 33,500 at Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium.

A resounding thud.

It came while hosting its oldest and most heated rival for the last time before opening a new stadium, and the Cowboys ran like they owned the place on the way to a 38-17 victory to take back the Bronze Boot for the first time in three years.

“It was a game of momentum, especially early on,” CSU coach Mike Bobo said. “We gained momentum and couldn't keep momentum.
