Colorado State gets lift from kicking game

FORT COLLINS — As Minnesota called timeout, Wyatt Bryan looked to the Colorado State student section in the east stands and urged them to cheer louder.

A gutsy sign from a walk-on kicker who had mixed results a week ago, one who was being asked to hit a 37-yard field goal to send the game to overtime at Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium.

"It's obviously nerve-wracking when you're down by three points and you're expected to make the kick, but I had no doubt in my mind I could make it, and I think the rest of the team did, too," Bryant said, who nailed the kick, though the Rams eventually lost 23-20 in overtime.
